Our goal is to continuously improve ourselves. In order to compare ourselves with competition we participate in annual prestigious contests.
2016
We were given a special prize of the jury for our gender diversity in the contest of Gender Studies Company of The Year: Equal Opportunities..
Corporate Lawyer Union of the Czech Republic awarded ArcelorMittal Ostrava’s lawyers (legal office) for the best corporate legal team in the Czech Republic..
2015
The non-smoking company program received a global Performance Excellence Award by ArcelorMittal group. The NGO of health support and oncological prevention awarded our approach to restricting smoking by a memorial medal.
An award by the ministry of industry and trade for environmental efforts. Big recognition of our long-term efforts to reduce our environmental footprint is also the award for environmental investment to sintering belts dedusting at sinter plant north which we received in the nationwide contest of the Czech energy and environmental project (ČEEP). The contest is traditionally held by the ministry of industry and trade, ministry of the environment and the ministry of regional development.
Thanks to a responsible human resources strategy we are regularly given the Employer of Choice award. We gained Sodexo Employee of the Year 2015 award in the category of companies with more than 5 000 employees; the general partner of the contest is Sodexo Pass. Repeatedly we were also selected the best employer with more than 5 000 employees in the Moravian-Silesian region.
2014
Our internal 1 Magazine frequently ranks at the top positions in Zlatý středník contest of best internal magazines. In Fénix content marketing contest we took the third place in the category of the best internal newspapers.
We received the title of Biking friendly employer of the year as well as in 2013.
We were given the Human resources Excellence Award by People Management Forum for the best HR initiative among companies with more than 5 000 employees for the Red scorpions project.
